Meet DJ Khayleb
Born in Warri, a vibrant city in Delta State, Southern Nigeria, Akpevwe Caleb Waka-Otenuda, known as DJ Khayleb, discovered his passion for music early in life. By the age of seven, he had joined the local choir as a singer and subsequently excelled as an instrumentalist after learning to play the guitar at age nine. Before turning twelve, he also learned to play the trumpet and piano.
In 2011, while still in high school, DJ Khayleb’s love for music deepened. He began exploring the world of DJing and before transitioning into music production. By 2013, he made his debut as a music producer, creating tracks for some of the city’s fast rising artistes.
His journey then took him to Port Harcourt and later Benin City for higher education where he continued to work on his passion and network.
In November 2016, after connecting with a colleague online who offered him a job in Lagos, DJ Khayleb left the University of Benin campus in Edo State to relocate to Ikoyi, Lagos State. There he began a new chapter as a music producer at a major studio, fully committing to his career in music.
Almost a decade later and DJ Khayleb has grown to become a Brand synonymous with good quality music, constantly patronized by local and international artistes, brands and music lovers around the world. Discover more: Portfolio
